In the Tradition

The Bhavaprakasha opens its chapter on herbs with Haritaki, and it is often called the king of medicines.

Old texts compare it to a mother, saying a mother may sometimes be angry but Haritaki never harms one who takes it rightly.

It is one of the three fruits of Triphala, alongside Amalaki and Bibhitaki.

Our Haritaki comes from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.

It is prepared for our Triphala according to its classical protocol.
