In the Tradition

Shigru is described in the classical texts, and its drumstick pods are a much loved vegetable in sambar and curries.

Its young leaves are cooked as a green in many parts of India.

Classical texts describe its warming, sharp nature as especially suited to Kapha.

Our Shigru comes from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh.

It is prepared for our capsules according to its classical protocol.
